"Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" error on Xperia Ion

"Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" erroe on my ION
Can anyone please help me out here.

I am stuck with this error for the past 3 days i can't use any apps nor call/text.

Everything has been force closed, which is very annoying.

I am about the reset the phone to factory settings BUT I need to backup my photos.(But my laptop wont detect any internal storage)

The computer can detect the Xperia Ion but when I click on view files for the internal storage, it says the file folder is empty.

Can anyone tell me how to back up my photos/data with this error??
