[Q] How do i use whattsapp in Galaxy i7500 by rooting??

My Galaxy I7500 is running on unrooted android 1.6 and its not upgradable...Minimum requirement for whattsapp is android 2.2...
Help needed to root it and make it able to run whattsapp application...
