Hi All,
I am looking for bluetooth support. I think the rel, evant feature is called MAP (Message Application Program).
I am such a noob, but I have a very interesting problem that i hope will wet the appetite of the very smart people here...If this is the wrong place to post this thread, please redirect me.
I have a 2013 Mazda 3 that is equipped with a bluetooth system. It has some kind of interface (not even sure what to call it), that will download text messages from compatible phones. My phone is compatible, it is an LG Spectrum. When I first sync'd it with the car, it did download the messages as designed. Then, for some reason, it just stopped downloading them. The car gives a message "download failed. Try again later". I feel pretty strongly that this is a phone issue, not a car issue.
I'm on android system 4.0.4 (ICS, I think?) I've tried unpairing the phone and deleting the profile on both the car and the phone, then pulling the battery out of the phone while it was turned on. Same results.
Can anybody think of any reason this would have stopped working? Any suggestions on what I might try next? During the time the phone stopped downloading messages, I think there was an update to the phone. If that is the problem is there a way to un-update it?
Thank you for any assistance you may be able to offer.
Tom
