Compile kernel to use usb ethernet

Hi,

I need your help.
Which kernel modules i have to compile to use a usb Ethernet adapter?
My one is a dm9601.
Source is inside android kernel.
I guess i have to activate inside
.config usb_net and dm9601.
Do i need other modules to get it work?
My problem is that the device wont get a ipv4 dhcp address.
The adapter is recognize vom android but i cant use it.
Any ideas?
This is an error i get:
unregistered net_device error 22
