[Q] Samsung Appeal i827 cannot get out of "reboot" menu

I pushed some numbers on the phone and "poof" the phone went into a menu called "CWM based Recovery v5.0.2.8" which includes:
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe data and wipe cache
advanced
and finally: power off

None of the menu items will actually reboot are start the phone in operable mode; it always goes back the the same menu.
I Have tried the Power + T and Power Volume and nothing helps.
Any help is appreciated
