So I found a directory while exploring with Android Commander witch contained a zip file entitled: bootanimation.zip, upon extracting it lone and behold it was my current bootscreen. I copied it, extracted it and changed all the images to my own animation. I kept the file format .jpg and the file names. But now when I boot it just skips the bootscreen. Am I safe in assuming the reason for this is an MD5 checksum? Or worse, a salted MD5 Checksum? I am running ICS 4.0.4 on the LG-LW770.
It isnt a big deal if it wont work, I just thought it would be awesome to show off my freeware organization branding and a message stating the phone belonged to me.
Please if you have any knowledge of the Bootanimation download this zip and let me know whats wrong.
Thanks,
Taylor
