I am an owner of an eStar (MID9768) intel Crystal clearview 9,7'' Model number: (OTA test) , Android version: 4.2.2 , IAFW version: 0002.0003, FW version: V1.01_v1 , Kernel version: 3.4.43-00010g26cfc46-dirty.
As I did my research I came up that my device is identical with Onda V975i, so I have a question, can I root it by using root procedures for Onda? Also I used Kingoroot and iroot but nothing happened cause I dont have the drivers for the android connection with desktop.On the other hand, with ADB drivers on Linux Mint sawn as an attached device with an 8digit name and putted on trusted devices my laptop.
I am almost sure that my device is identical with Onda V975i cause all the specs are the same, also the case for Onda is fitted to my eStar perfectly!
After the root I want to try dual boot it with Linux or only Linux as OS.

I have a LG G3 phone. I'm trying to use Guest mode but it doesn't work. Simply, the Cast icon does not appear in any app. Normal cast (when connected to the wifi network) works.

BEFORE YOU ASK
1) I tried everything the FAQ and the Troubleshooting said, including Factory reset, reboot, wifi and data settings
2) It's not only my problem. Other people with G3/G4 have the same problem:

3) I investigated and found out this in not Chromecast bug but phone bug. In fact, Chromecast creates two wifi networks with hidden SSID which work as a beacon for the phone. You can't see them in wifi network list, but if you download wifi analyzer you can see them (I saw them with a Samsung Galaxy S4) with SSID '?', which means no SSID, and the MAC address following. Well, I installed wifi analyzer on the G3 and they don't appear in the list.So this means that LG G3 and G4 can't see networks with hidden SSID (whereas all other phones can), and this is the cause of the problem. The bug is several months old. Has anybody got a solution/suggestion?

hello i just get a dg2014 used a good price..
i try to flash the patch for 1% battery issue, but i format the phone with sp flashtool and now i only get mtk usb port, not preloader..sp flashtool get red bar at 100% and nothing more..how can i flash the preloader or flash the phone without preloader, please i need help..i read the guide for mtk dfevices unbricking but no answer for this..
is any way or tool to flash the preloader..i mean the doogee manufacturer flash the preloader this way, so it has to have a solution, hep me please

I want to turn my rk3188 mini pc into a device that will run an app I created on startup.

I don't need the kernel to be custom, however I need these:
Access to WiFi
Access to BlueTooth
Custom Splash Screen
Custom app loaded on startup and full screen
Custom app setup

I also want this to be re-usable so that I can reflash it on to different devices as they are ready to roll out the door.

Is there a tool I can use that would allow me to do this quickly? I have to do all the other development and I don't want to spend too much time on the learning curve.

I have tried most if not all the major generic root methods through apk. Kingroot,Towelroot,Framaroot doesn't even boot, I'm missing one or two others and i've tried the king root USB root method.

Hi, I´ve just got a Oukitel U7. This is a MTK 6582.

And at first look seems "nice". My issues start when I insert a sim card. Then it loses the Imei and dont connect to sim card. When I remove de sim card, I have Imei again.

So, any one experienced something like this ?

I already rooted, make a Imei backup, restore it. Flashed with SPFT and nothing seems to work.

Some ideias would be nice...

During the past days I've been trying to flash my C7 with no success. When pressing power button, it turns on and displays the Alcatel logo but stays there, it does not load the OS.

I have tried to use SPtools to flash it, I have the mtk drivers installed in my PC. When I plug the switched-off phone to the computer it turns on and couple seconds after my PC detects it (I can see the preloader mtk loaded on the device manager); however, one second right after it is detected, it is disconnected as it keeps booting to show the logo and stay there. Obviously, if the phone is not detected I cannot use SPtools to flash it.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

PS: I have also tried to connect to it with adb, and dump a ROM using sideload with no sucess, the PC recognizes it from the recovery but after copying the image nothing new happens on reboot.

I have a rooted android TV box that I also use as a wifi router (cable from router is connected to TV Box which is then shared through wifi)
However I have to always do that manually by going into settings. Is there any script that I can launch on startup to enable wifi tethering automatically?
I tried searching but it didnt help.

first time here, first question.
I can work with debian but I am newbie for smartphones, my first one is Chinese uhappy up920, android 4.4.2, it is rooted with kingo, I have installed busybox and ROM Toolbox Lite, and Terminal IDE.
first I tried to install some applications for changing MAC address but non of them worked, then I tried with terminal and no success.
I am interested to change mac address without applications, simply from terminal, as i would do in linux. but in linux macchanger should be installed. sudo macchager -m AA:BB:CB:EE:FF eth0/wlan0
I tried also apt-get like in linux but it is not recognized as command, so, I don't know how to install something from terminal in android. is it possible? there are repositories in linux, I don't know for android.

I tried:

but I got a notification: busybox : can't execute : permission denied
but kingo gave root permission to terminal IDE. I typed SU
I tried and wlan0 instead of eth0 but the same result.

I have a clone high copy of galaxy a500f running on kitkat 4.4.4... I wanted to upgrade the firmware to lollipop but phone not booting into download mode (Odin mode) I tried it by keys trick and also command it to boot download mode via adb, but nothing is works.... Its boot simply and turn on to main screen.... Any other way to get into download mode????
My phone is mtk6582.
