A mobile app not syncing with its website on my phone, but will on similar phone.

Hey guys. I haven't been here in a while and am actually here for another question but figured while I am in this forum, why not ask a question that might be hit or miss.

1) Ok so my girl and I have been doing this weight loss program and the mobile app that we use is myfittnesspal. For some reason when I log calories eaten on the mobile app it does not communicate and update on the website. The mobile app shows no problems when I sync, but when I log on to actual website, nothing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and hard resetting my phone. What is weird is that my girl has a similar phone, I have the galaxy s3 mini and she has the galaxy lite. Yeah both ancient. But when I log in the mobile app on her phone, it syncs with website fine. What the heck is going on? This is frustrating because we just spent $300 on fitbits to sync with this stupid app. Why is my phone not cooperating?

2) If I can't get this to work, I will probably buy a new phone. I am thinking of going with the latest mini, the galaxy s5 mini that is. I see a whole bunch on amazon and I am not sure which one to get because of the different frequency bands. I know for sure I want a gsm phone and I plan to use it on either Tmobile or ATT or an MVNO of either. So I see unlocked ones, international ones, haven been able to find a carrier one that is not used yet. Can someone please help with this question or should I post in another area?

Is it possible to change USB mode from charge to data-transfer without screen?

Hi, my LG G2 screen passed away, I can switch on the phone but nothing is show on screen.
I want to save some files from internal memory.
Is there a way to switch from usb charge only to data trasfer (mtp) with adb shell or something?
The phone is rooted, with stock based rom, twrp installed.

Dual SIM manegement not shown in Settings (porting ROM)

Hello all,

I am trying to port a ROM to my device, Samsung Galaxy Young 2 (SM-G130HN), modded stock 4.4.2 ROM from Sansung Galaxy V Dual. The 130HN is not dual SIM, but another Young 2 are (G130M, etc)

The problem is that the dual SIM configuration into Settings does not appear in any way.

I have activated dual SIM in Build.prop Through:

I have flashed a kernel with dual SIM support from GS-130M, and the ROM start without any problem and the 2 SIM signals appear in the status bar:

But... I am not able to configure them through Settings. This the settings_header part where the dual SIM configuration is declared in stock ROM (not modiffied):

But the dual SIM configuration does not appear:

In CyanogenMOD the 2 SIM can be configured in Settings, and I think that the trick is in the kernel included in Cyanogenmod ROMs

All the smalis are correct (without modification from the stock ROM). I do not know if I have lost some app by the way or is neccesary something more to activate the settings for dual SIM in the ROM.

Xposed Systemless Installed
Latest Version Of Android N-ify Module Is Installed
The Problem ?
Well It Says Module Is Not Activated... Really Frustrating Because It Seems Like Huawei Phones Are Just Useless In Terms Of These Things Or Did I Do Something Wrong ?
Oh And No Logs Are Available From Xposed As Well, I Have Restarted A Million Times And Stuff.

Bricked Device with USB Debugging Disabled

Hey all.
I use a Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon) and upto now I used CM13. I wanted to switch back to MIUI 8, as it supports LTE, so I tried to flash the MIUI ROM using TWRP. My device bricked and doesnt go past the loading screen. The bootloader also got locked and my device is also not being detected in adb command prompt. In device manager, I can only see ADB Bootloader driver but not any other. I tried installing ADB drivers again but it doesnt work. I believe I did not enable USB debugging. I have a TWRP backup of the previous ROM on my pc but is there any way to flash it?

Need help with Qualcomm based device MSM 8625 [double-bricked] + total noob!

Dear nice guys of xdadevs,

This is the first time I'm posting and I'd like to request some help from any experts with qualcomm devices.

So the story's like this:

1. I purchased a crappy cheap knock-off local android called Zyrex Onescribe ZA957 (made in Indonesia), it shares similarities with ZTE models like the Zte Blade.

The reason why it was crappy is because it's super slow and it had Android 4.0 ICS installed. Also, whenever I try to shutdown or restart the phone, it would say "Shutting down TABLET". So I immediately knew that it came with a Tablet ROM! This was before I rooted it.

2. It only had like 456mb ram, so I installed Kingroot and successfully got it rooted

3. I then deleted the bloatware with the system uninstaller app downloaded from playstore

4. After a while, the phone just became slower and slower like it was always running out of ram. The boot loading process also took longer and longer as the days progressed, until one time, it just got stuck on the boot logo (bootloop?)

5. So I couldn't figure out what was going on and eventually the phone just decided to stop booting at all, except for making vibrations but no lights or anything else and I couldn't even get to recovery mode by pressing power/vol+ etc.

6. Then I followed instructions to reflash a stock rom and the phone was detected as MSM 9008 or 9006 or something like that. I forgot what program I used to reflash it, but I think I followed the instructions from a website in Indonesian for "tutorial unbrick andromax u".

I also installed the stock rom for that CDMA based phone because it had very similar specs to mine GSM/CDMA dual sim, qualcomm MSM8625 etc.

I knew I had "soft bricked" it at first, but the second time, bang! I've double bricked it and now it's truely bricked! Darnit!

If I try to connect to PC via usb, it's a constant game of cat and mouse where sometimes the PC would detect the phone as "Qualcomm MSM CMDA Technologies" for about 2 seconds, then it disconnects/disappears. Sometimes (after a whole lot of pluggin' & unpluggin', it would stay on the Qualcomm MSM CDMA Technologies as detected in device manager, but listed as "Unknown".

I've installed the drivers for qualcomm BEFORE I attempted to reflash so I know it worked in the past. I've removed the drivers and have reinstalled them, but I still can't get my phone into the 9008/6 mode anymore.

Basically, I want to try reflashing again but I don't know where to go and what to do from here, so any expert help would be strongly appreciated!

Pixi 3 (4) 4013D sdcard not found

Hi, I tried to flash the CM 12.1 rom from xda with twrp on a Pixi 3 (4) 4013D. It flashed correctly but I noticed that the apps don't detect the internal storage. I can't download anything even from the play store. I can acess to the mtp only using the recovery.
I tried to flash the Full Stock rom that I found here but it goes bootloop.
Is there any solution?

Can't communicate with Google Servers- error

Hey everyone!
Ive been struggling with this one for a while now, when I try to add a Google account to my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime it gives me that error. Ive done some searching but none of their solutions work me... I tried installing the Google Play Services.apk, but no dice. It gives the same error on multiple roms (including stock, CM 14). The problem started after I flashed a custom rom (J5 for Grand Prime)

Please help me!!

Custom binary blocked by frp lock on sm-j510gn

HI dev,i have just used this phone in about a month .a few days ago i have decided to root this phone,i am using the odin method .it roots very well untill i have accidently opened the recovery mode and a message appears 'custom binary blocked by frp' wth.and then i downloaded the samsung kies and try to recover my phone but its failed on detecting my device.and then i will use the odin method to flash the official rom on this phone.i was wondering if the proccess will be interupted by the frp lock again.please answer me.thanks in advance

How to fix Android boot loop, ADB?

My android (jellybean) tablet was turned off in middle of update and now is in boot loop. It was rooted with USB debugging on.

I MUST recover files (PDFs, .doc, .wav .JPEG, etc ) without erasing them.

Questions:

1 Do I use Odin and TWRP together?

2 Will Odin flash Samsung stock firmware erase files on device?

3. Will TWRP .img file erase everything?

4. Are these instructions correct?

I recommend you install TWRP recovery. It's the most feature-rich of all the recoveries I have used, and I will be assuming that is the recovery you use for the rest of this.

1. Boot into TWRP. (how? TWRP is an .img file )
2. Push your ADB public key to your device to force authentication.
____On Windows, do: adb push %UserProfile%\.android\ad
bkey.pub /data/misc/adb/adb_keys

3. Reboot into Android. Try adb shell and see if you get a shell prompt. If so, great! Exit it and run adb logcat, and read the huge error log for problems. If you didn't get the shell, well, then I think you're screwed, unless someone has cooked up a recovery zip for enabling adb.

What happens after ADB logcat?

I just wiped full system without selecting USB Debugging before that.

I'm on CM13 Recovery now. Could someone guide me through that ?

I Tried to flash it through ADB but ADB requires USB Debugging right ? So, I Can't flash it...

Is there any way possible ?

It just reboots on its own ocassionally, especially if the battery is below 50%. Also the screen blinks sometimes. Is this a software or a hardware problem? And does anyone know how to fix this?

What happened to ClockworkMod Recovery?

A while back, I was really into Android phone hacking. I remember rooting my sister's HTC Droid Incredible and installing ClockworkMod Recovery on it with ROM Manager. I remember that the Touch version was still in beta back then.

Fast-forward a few years, I'm starting to get "back into" Android stuff again. I've been doing some research, and it seems like CWM Recovery has basically...disappeared. Everyone says to use TWRP now. I can't find any recent posts on it, it's no longer on the official website, and the most recent threads related to it are a few years old. What exactly happened? Was it discontinued or something?

It just seems a little odd to me that I couldn't find any thread referring to CWM Recovery no longer being developed or anything. It almost feels like it vanished or something.

LG Stylo 2 Storage Full with Adoptable Storage enabled

I'm having a strange problem with my Boost Mobile LG Stylo 2 running stock Marshmallow. I have enabled Adoptable Storage using ADB, and have migrated apps and data to a Sandisk 32GB SD card.

There is plenty of free space. When the phone first boots up, everything works fine. But after a period of time -- sometimes an hour, sometimes days -- it seems to run out of storage. I can no longer take photos. Some apps that use the SD card for storage, e.g. HERE Maps, start and immediately disappear. Sometimes app updates will not install.

Any ideas? I'd be grateful for any help with this!

NE**FLED AndroidTV Custom ROM Development

Hello Community Members,

I have been searching around for any custom ROM that is compatible with my SmartTV but was unable to find anything. A little more search around Google revealed that the brand of my TV is not official, just a re-branded Chinese TV set wich comes in many names as:
  • Spectrum
  • Neon
  • etc..

The model number is NE50FLED (NE**FLED) where 50/40/32 is the size of the monitor..

It has a custom android ROM but with limited capabilities, and I was wondering if any developers would want to give it a try and develop something more usable for these devices. Maybe, there is already something out there that I am not aware of, so please advice.
