I own a Micromax P300 tab, one of those $100 Allwinner A10 with a front VGA camera. It worked fine for me for about 8 month. I had flashed a couple of custom roms - Funseries for Funbook and Cyanogen Mod 9. I fell in love with the later one and decided to stick with it.
All of a sudden one day the camera just started acting weirdly. Whenever I tap that camera icon, the app starts and it shows colored bars all over the screen. Tapping capture button gives a snapshot of these unworldly bars. Other apps just give can't connect to camera.
I have tried factory reset, wiping cache, wiping dalvik cache and battery stats. Moving to other RoMs. re-flashing CM9 but still nothing. Is this something to do with the hardware?
