I bought this tablet thinking it would be the best of both worlds. But the partition used for Android was rather small (4GB), and got full pretty quickly. It would seem like such a hassle to resize the partition used for Windows (21gb) because they were arranged like this in disk management: 64mb-16mb-16mb-etc-1gb partition for who knows what-4gb partition for Android-more 64mb partitions-windows partition-500mb recovery partition. Now I thought I'd use my 64gb micro SD and divide it into two partitions, one being an EXT2 of 20gb for apps. I'd need to use the app LINK2SD to move the apps, but lo and behold, Android was not rooted. (I kind of assumed it was)

So I tried to root the android portion of this tablet, using information from this page
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/andr...p-cwm-t2975096), selecting T4 as the trigger. It didn't show the option to install a package and I ended up selecting "recovery" instead. It rebooted into the tablet's own recovery mode, where I didn't do anything. Prior to rebooting, I got the screen to select either OS, but Windows was gone. Now what? I also tried the Kingo program via my laptop prior to the method mentioned on the link above, but it kept getting stuck at 23% and 10%, idk if that may have done something. Anyways, now when I try to force boot to Windows (by selecting "boot to windows" after pressing the power button), but all I keep getting is this command prompt-like environment. Is my windows partition lost or something? Please help.

Hey guys,

I've used up my search skills, both on Google and on XDA, still haven't found an answer to this issue.
My problem is that I can't change the backup location in Titanium Backup Pro. I go to Preferences > Backup folder location. Select whichever storage provider (all give the same result), pick a folder (or create a new one then pick it), and when I tap "Use the current folder", TB crashes.

Details:
OnePlus One rooted
CM13 ROM by SultanXDA, always updated to his latest build, no custom kernel or anything special
TWRP 3.0.0-0
SuperSU 2.68

Please, if anyone has a solution for this, I'd love to hear it. Best thing I can think of is to edit the configuration file for TB manually and change the backup location there, but I've no idea where to find the config file. I've written TB's support, never got an answer from them.

Please guys, I can't backup my apps to do a clean flash. If anyone has another way to backup and restore all my apps and their settings (I'm mostly concerned about game saves), I'd love to hear it.

Please help me ! :'( .....My LG L90 D415 got bricked because of me wanting to make my external sd card to internal storage, so i've searched that i can do that in my CM 13 rom, so formatted my sd card as internal just like they said, (luckily, i backup all my data) so when it's trying to format may sd, my screen just went black...so i searched what went wrong, and they said i have to use partition manager , and wipe the partitions and create a new one....so i did that, with eusus partition manager, and i created one, but the screen black, so i thought i need to restart it, so i did....but when i press the power button long enough, it's still not booting, so i thought the battery is dead...then i charged it, but no charging display is showing, it cant be that dead...so i waited and look, still no charging display...that's when i realized i screwed up and bricked my only phone so i tried the method: brbsupportlg .....my phone is recognised by my laptop there's a relink.....and bulk drivers installed when i plugged my lg....then i followed the intructions clearly..click start : the following error showed up: device not found in dload trying flash programmer....bad luck just keeps coming dont they :'( so please can someone help me, this is my only phone....and i can't survive without it.


p.s im not gonna buy another phone, i know you guys can help me :'(

I wanted to know what is the default behavior of android as of L/M (and if anything will change come N) when the device if put on sleep/suspend/power button is pressed. I'm not developing apps (but technical enough to know stuffs just not updated), so not posting over the developer section so hopefully someone here knows.

My problem is all apps I'm using gets suspended when I press the power button even those that I don't expect to get suspended and will do wakelocks gets suspended on my Asus Zenfone2. Which is weird since a few months back it does not behave this way (I'm suspecting aggressive battery management on the manufacturer's end). So I'm thinking of changing phones or flashing roms, but before that I want to know if this is something that is going to be the default going forward or is something the manufacturers think I will be happy to have (which I don't and I can't see any option to disable it).

Specific example that is easy to check, Fluid. It's a torrent app. I'll press the power off on my phone (after I check that the download is picking up) and I would expect it to continually download (since I configured it and allowed it to do so afaik). But when I come back to check, it would say 0kbps. But if I keep my screen on (set screen off or sleep to never) I see the download rate being constant.

Note that 1.) it does not kill the app unlike some other manufacturers (Sammy, Oppo), it just behaves like it's suspended. So it may or may not be Asus, just wanted to be sure and set my expectations going forward with android. And 2.) I have already check all settings I can get my hands on. On both the app and the system. Phone is unrooted for now. Data is not limited, power is set to performance. the only thing unchecked is stay awake while charging.

i having htc desire 310 dual, rooted the phone with iroot successfully. while installing cwm recovery the mobile got rebooted and stuck in HTC logo. Now the mobile getting repeated booting and cant get the recovery mode. Even if connect to pc its gets rebooting. kindly give any solution to recover my phone. :(

Hello I've been using an HP 10 G2 Tablet for a few days now. Last time I use my hp tablet I had rooted it with KingRoot I didn't want KingUser I wanted SuperSu so I install this app called SuperSU me after successfully the app working it told me to reset of course I did. Waiting for a couple of minutes then I notice it's TAKEN forever to load which is weird because only takes just a few seconds. I left it on the next day AND IT WAS STILL IN boot mode I try everything Wipe my data WIPE MY CACHE. I was going try phoenix card but I'm so clueless when it comes to tablets. Can anyone help me?

First time here can't figure out map. I own a LG Risio and a ZTE overture2 both running lolipop. Can these 2 phones be rooted? How can we break away from Microsoft start up, toolbar, and control panels? Our lives and devices should be ours, playing by our rules not theirs.

I had recently rooted my Note 4. I am wanting to get rid of the existing kernel and put the default one back. Anyway, I tried using Odin to flash the tar file to the phone. I consistently am getting a failed message. The last notation in the log after failed is the word auth in parentheses.

I just read online that when I run the Odin program, I am supposed to right click and tell it to run as administrator. I have not been doing that. Is that what is causing my problem?

MY phone is not bricked or anything, but I seemed to have erased google play store from the systems folder and i cannot figure a way to fix it. I tried to find out its firmware but since this phone is only available in S.K, I couldn't find any firmware of it. I need help immediately.

hi i am a nerd when we talking about android phone my micro max a 350 is going well when it comes
after 6 months when my phone battery taking to long to charge i format its internal card memory and external as well
after that battery problem solve but new problem start when ever i restart my phone it say
UIDs on system are inconsistent. You need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable. [I'm feeling lucky]
after that they register phone by micro max deducting every time 3 rs whenever i restated the phone rest thing are fine
i use phone recovery mode as well as factory mode but fail to solve this problem
i want to know that
1--- is there permanent solution
2-- i am hearing about rooting device , it is better for that problem
3-- if rooting possible can i install lollipop version buy removing kitkat totally
any help will be appreciated

Hi guys, i recently bought this phone as my iPhone is malfunctioning. I was pretty contented with the phone overall. However, one aspect of it really ticks me off which is the RAM. Apparently, there's a constant 100mb-0mb Ram available for usage. So i ended up going online and search on how to speed up the RAM. I found a link that says by having a Custom ROM downloaded, it would remove all the bloatware and such. After progressing with the patches and installations, i was quite happy with it! Until the part where i couldn't access the Google Maps,Google Play store and every single time an error will pop out saying 'Google play services has stopped working'. I had work today and i would definitely need to use my phone to get me around (Delivery rider) therefore, i decided to call my supervisor and told him i had some issues with my phone. Earlier this morning, i've tried rooting using Kingo Root/Root Genius but to no avail. Both stucked in the process of it. I've tried flashing some other Core Prime's model ROM hoping that it would work. But guess what, it didn't :( . Now i have my Core Prime stucked at Odin Mode saying 'could not do normal boot'.
Any fellow experts willing to help me on this?

P.S I got to know that my phone was from an import after trying the factory reset. It's from China Unicom.

VKWorld VK700, android 4.4.2, rooted.

My mount points are messed up. I have two identical phones (VK700) and one can't mount userdata, can't flash stock rom, can't remove apps (they come back after reboot) nothing. No internal storage is available (sd card is "damaged"). The mount differences are

Instead of 179:97 it's 179:8 and lastly

it's missing the two entries concerning sdcard0:

I can't flash the phone (essentially it's read only, i gather from the fact that it's /ro and not /rw). I have access to adb (rooted). Stock images if needed.

I own a Micro max Canvas knight a290 (Already Rooted)
I removed my "Contact.apk" from the system Apps.
I didn't find any third party app so that I could download it and make it a system app. Please help.
Right now in system apps folder I just have " goolge contacts sync adapter.apk " and nothing else related to contact app.

This issue has been going on for well over one year on multiple devices and multiple ROMs. The United Airlines app has not given me push notifications on my stock (rooted) Nexus 5, nor my Note 4 while it was stock unrooted, or since on multiple ROMs while rooted. While on WiFi or mobile, VPN or not. Every other app works just fine - gmail, whatsapp, geobased reminders, etc. Any ideas how to "reset" my United push notifications? I'm completely out of ideas.
